League of Women Voters

About Us

The League of Women Voters is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots civic organization encouraging informed and active participation. League of Women Voters of Galveston was activated on June 19, 2023. This chapter primarily serves Galveston Island and includes the following cities: Galveston, High Island, Crystal Beach, Jamaica Beach, Tiki Island, Santa Fe, Hitchcock, Texas City, and La Marque.

We work with High Schools, Colleges, Trade Schools, City Offices, Active Adult Centers, and other nonprofit organizations. Our mission is to Empower Voters and Defend Democracy!
