She is the Director of Nursing Science & Innovation for the UTMB Health System. She also serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor for the UTMB School of Nursing and oversees Nursing Peer Review for all of the UTMB Health campuses. Dr. Cupit is an alumni of the UTMB School of Nursing/ Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and has been with UTMB since 1993. She is certified in crisis prevention communication and emotional and social intelligence coaching. The majority of her clinical practice was in Psychiatric nursing and the brain and behavior remain a favorite research area of interest. In her current role\, Dr. Cupit conducts local and multi-site research\, assists with the teaching of nursing science and helps oversee the first Medical MakerSpace\, by MakerHealth  in the nation.\n\n\n\nReminder - bring a door prize to give away to promote your business!
