Boost your business network and make new friends!\n\n\n\nSponsored by UTMB Health\n\nFeatured Speaker: \n\nJosette Armendariz-Batiste\, DNP\, RN\, CCRN\, CENP\n\nVice President\, Regional Hospitals & System Chief Nursing Executive for UTMB Health\n\n\n\nAt this luncheon\, we will hear how her career has been impacted by mentors and how she mentors others.\n\nSpeaker background:\n\nDr. Armendariz-Batiste currently serves as the Vice President\, Regional Hospitals & Chief Nurse Executive at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health). She began her association with UTMB Health in 1998 as a staff nurse\, subsequently holding positions as Assistant Nurse Manager\, Nurse Manager in the Surgical Intensive Care and Transplant Units\, and as Director and Assistant Chief Nursing Officer.\n\n\n\nDr. Armendariz-Batiste earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston\, and her Master in Nursing Leadership and Management and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees from Walden University. Among many achievements\, Dr. Armendariz-Batiste recently guided UTMB's Neurosciences Critical Care Unit to recognition by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses as a Silver-level Beacon Awardee for Excellence in 2019. She also helped lead UTMB on its journey to accreditation by Det Norske Veritas as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. Josette was instrumental in the opening of Jennie Sealy Hospital in 2016\, including the safe transportation of patients from the existing facility to the new hospital. She contributes to the ongoing implementation of an innovative mixed method orientation program for new graduate nurses. She also helped lead UTMB to AACN Magnet Recognition in 2012 and 2017.\n\n\n\nDr. Armendariz-Batiste was a recipient of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses' (AACN) Circle of Excellence Award in 2016 and is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the American Organization of Nurse Executives.\n\n\n\nReminder - Bring a door prize to give away to promote your business!
