DESCRIPTION:Galveston County Day at the Capitol   March 6. 2019\n\n\nYou are invited to attend this powerful event and represent Galveston County at the Texas State Capitol on Wednesday\, March 6.\n\n\n\nPlease RSVP your attendance for this important day at the Capitol as we bring our issues to the forefront of our Texas Legislators. Galveston County Chambers of Commerce will all be represented as we represent our County and items of concern that are common to all of us. We will be recognized from the floor of the House of Representatives and Senate\, visit personally with Texas Legislators as small teams and have a Texas Gulf Coast reception for our elected officials and staff complete with a seafood feast. This is a great opportunity to have face-toface time with officials and staff to discuss individual as well as Galveston County agenda items. Details are below.\n\n\n\nPlease RSVP to Derek Duckett   derek@ltexascitychamber.com\n\n\n\nTeam Participation\n\nTeams of 3 or 4 people will be coordinated with a team leader and you will be notified of the team you will be visiting legislators with and who your team leader will be. Please designate if you will NOT be able to be on a team.\n\n\n\nGroup Photos and Reception\n\nA group photo is being planned and details on time and place will be emailed as soon as we have that info. The reception will be at Saengerrunde Hall from 4:00\n\np.m.   7:00 p.m. A detailed scheduled will be sent.\n\n\n\nIf you are travelinq on your own \n\nIf you will meet the group in Austin\, please let Derek know and he will send you an updated schedule of meeting times and places.\n\n\n\nIf you would like to ride the bus \n\nBus will leave from the Chamber office\, 9702 E.F. Lowry Expressway at 5:30 a.m.\, arrive at the Capitol at 9:30\, and return after the reception at 7:00 p.m. arriving back in Texas City at approximately 11:00 p.m. There are 54 seats available\, so please reserve your space now. There is no charge\, however\, if you reserve a seat and do not cancel 48 hours before\, you will be assessed a $50 fee. The bus was full last year and there was a waiting list\, so please reserve early.
