This is the seventh year this annual event has sold out. The 2021 Gala is extra special for celebrating Anchor Point's beginning 10 years ago. Celebrating Hope's presenting sponsor is Shakiba Capital and its founders are also the 10th anniversary gala co-chairs\, Mr. & Mrs. Trevor Shakiba\, alongside its founding Event Chairs\, Texas State Rep. Dr. & Mrs. Greg Bonnen. With these two powerhouse couples this will prove to be another sold-out event and a 'who's who' of the Bay Area. Anchor Point's founding CEO\, Debbie Simmons stated\, "We are thrilled beyond measure to celebrate Anchor Point's been championing children and giving families hope for ten years!"\n\n\n\nThe evening's festivities include keynote speaker\, author and humorist\, Mike Williams. Mike is the youngest born of five to an inner-city family. His oldest brother was killed at seventeen on the streets of Chicago and another brother was killed at seventeen in prison. His two sisters turned to alcohol and drugs\, a turn for which they have never fully recovered. At the age of twenty-seven\, he met his father for the first and last time. Mike's mother chose to place him in a new family with hopes that at least one of her children could have a chance at a future.
